These St. Patrick’s Day Oreo Truffles are one of my go-to treats for the holiday. With their creamy center and festive green coating, they’re simple to make and always a crowd-pleaser!
1. In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies until fine crumbs form.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese until well blended.
3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.
4. Melt the green candy melts or white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
5. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off, then place back on the parchment paper.
6. Immediately sprinkle with green sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
7. Refrigerate until firm, then serve.
Use a fork to dip the truffles for better coating control and to allow excess chocolate to drip off cleanly.
You can freeze the uncoated truffle balls for up to a month and dip them in chocolate when ready to serve.
Store finished truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Try mint-flavored Oreos or add a drop of mint extract to the filling for a fun twist on this festive treat.
