A decadent one-pan dish combining tender chicken, sun-dried tomato cream sauce, and al dente orzo pasta—minimal cleanup, maximum flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cubed
1/2 cup olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sun-dried tomatoes (oil-packed)
1 cup heavy cream or Non-Dairy Cream (halal alternative)
2 cups vegetable broth
1/2 cup orzo pasta
1 tbsp Italian seasoning (basil, oregano, thyme)
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

Goch chicken in 1 Tbsp olive oil in a large skillet until browned (5-6 mins). Stir in garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, broth, and seasonings.
Bring to a simmer, add orzo and chicken back into the pan. Cook until orzo is tender and liquid absorbs (10-12 mins).
Add heavy cream/Non-Dairy Cream, butter, and Parmesan (if using). Simmer until sauce thickens (3-5 mins).
Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.

Notes

Substitute orzo with any pasta. Use coconut milk as non-dairy cream alternative. Sauce thickens more when cooled.
Vegetarian option: Omit chicken and use 1/2 cup sautéed mushrooms instead.
