A quick, comforting 20-minute dish featuring al dente pasta coated in a rich garlic butter sauce, finished with Parmesan and parsley. Perfect for busy weeknights and made with pantry staples.

Ingredients

Scale

8 oz spaghetti or linguine
4 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (halal-certified if required)
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Salt to taste
1-2 cups water for boiling pasta

Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Drain cooked pasta, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water. Add pasta to the skillet with garlic butter, tossing to coat.
Sprinkle in Parmesan and stir until melted. Add chopped parsley, then toss again. Add pasta water as needed to create a glossy sauce.
Adjust seasoning with salt and serve immediately.

Notes

Use halal-certified Parmesan if desired.
Leftovers can be refrigerated for 2-3 days.
Substitute spinach or broccoli for added veggies.
Pasta water helps create a silky sauce—don’t skip it.
Can use olive oil if dairy-free, but butter yields best flavor.
