Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 large egg
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp ground allspice
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
4 cups beef broth (alcohol-free)
1 cup heavy cream
1.5 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 tsp fresh thyme

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, combine the beef, turkey, onion, breadcrumbs, milk, parmesan, garlic, egg, parsley, salt, pepper, and allspice; mix until well combined.
Roll the mixture into golf-ball-sized meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and stir in the flour to create a light roux.
Slowly whisk in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
Add the cubed potatoes to the simmering liquid and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream and return the baked meatballs to the pot.
Simmer for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop to maintain the creamy texture of the sauce.
