A classic, comforting one-dish meal with savory layers of seasoned ground beef, tender sliced potatoes, and a creamy mushroom sauce, all topped with melted Cheddar cheese.

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 cups peeled, thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Brown the ground beef in a skillet, then drain the grease.

2. In a bowl, mix the condensed soup, milk, onion, salt, and pepper.

3. In a 2-quart baking dish, alternate layers of sliced potatoes, ground beef, and the soup mixture.

4. Bake for 1 to 1.5 hours, until the potatoes are tender.

5. Top with shredded Cheddar cheese and bake for another 5 minutes until melted.
