  • 45 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef for about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat and add onion and garlic; cook until softened.

3. In the prepared dish, layer the beef mixture, followed by the sliced potatoes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Top with cheddar and Parmesan cheese, then pour broth around the edges.

4. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.

5. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use a mandoline slicer for even potato slices.

Swap in ground turkey or chicken for a leaner version.

Add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrition.
