Gordon Ramsay Ground Turkey Pasta is a quick and creamy comfort dinner made with tender penne, savory ground turkey, rich tomato sauce, and melted cheese. This easy 30-minute meal transforms simple pantry ingredients into a flavorful Italian-inspired dish.

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until just shy of al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sautรฉ for about 5 minutes until soft and translucent.

3. Add the ground turkey, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook for 6โ€“8 minutes until browned. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

4. Sprinkle flour over the turkey mixture and stir continuously for 1 minute to cook out the raw flour taste.

5. Gradually pour in the chicken broth and tomato sauce while stirring. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 3โ€“5 minutes until slightly thickened.

6. Fold the cooked pasta into the sauce. Stir in the half-and-half and add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.

7. Reduce heat to low and stir in half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.

8. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover the skillet for 2โ€“3 minutes until melted.

9. Garnish with fresh parsley and red chili flakes if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Reserve pasta water to help adjust the sauce consistency.

For a spicier kick, add extra chili flakes or a pinch of cayenne.

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

When freezing, leave a little space in containers as pasta may expand slightly.
