A deliciously simple oven-baked version of Bang Bang Chicken that’s ready in just 30 minutes — sweet, spicy, and creamy with minimal prep.
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a medium bowl, combine whole-egg mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha (if using), honey, and fresh lime juice. Mix until creamy and well-blended.
3. In a large mixing bowl, toss boneless chicken thighs with sweet paprika, onion powder, black pepper, tamari, brown sugar, and olive oil. Ensure the chicken is thoroughly coated and allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
4. On a baking tray, arrange the marinated chicken. Brush the top with about ¼ of the Bang Bang Sauce before placing it in the oven.
5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden and cooked through. For added crispiness, broil for the last 2–3 minutes.
6. Once done, drizzle the remaining Bang Bang Sauce over the chicken before serving. Garnish with freshly sliced spring onion.
This baked version is great for weeknights and can be made ahead by marinating the chicken the night before.
For a lower-calorie version, use Greek yogurt in place of mayonnaise and coconut sugar instead of brown sugar.
Pairs perfectly with steamed rice, roasted veggies, or a crisp salad.
