This chicken crescent roll casserole comes together in only a few steps in under 15 minutes, so you can enjoy more time with your family instead of slaving over a meal.

  • 2 (8 oz) cans Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz) can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Filling:
  • 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 4 tbsp butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 large cooked chicken breasts, finely chopped (about 2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup finely grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 24 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • Topping:
  • 12 cups grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.

2. In a small pot over medium heat, mix the cream of chicken soup, 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, and heavy whipping cream until cheese is melted. Turn off heat.

3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, butter, and garlic powder with a fork.

4. Add chopped chicken, onion, cream, salt, pepper, and 1/2 cup cheddar cheese to the bowl and mix well.

5. Unroll crescent rolls and drop 1 tablespoon of chicken mixture on the larger end of each triangle, then roll up starting from that end.

6. Spread some of the cream of chicken sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

7. Arrange the filled crescent rolls on top of the sauce in the dish.

8. Pour remaining sauce over the top of the rolls.

9. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the top.

10. Bake for 30 minutes, until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken for a faster prep option.

You can swap cheddar with a cheese blend or mozzarella.

Let the casserole sit for 5 minutes before serving to allow it to set.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven or microwave.
