Delicious Irresistible Campbells Green Bean Casserole made with cream of mushroom soup, crispy fried onions, and green beans, baked until hot and golden.
1. If using fresh green beans, wash, trim, and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain. If using canned, drain well. If using frozen, thaw and drain thoroughly.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together condensed cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth. Stir in soy sauce.
3. Add prepared green beans and 2/3 cup of the crispy French fried onions. Sprinkle in black pepper and mix everything until well coated.
4. Spray a 9×9 casserole dish with cooking spray. Transfer the mixture to the dish and spread it evenly.
5. Preheat oven or air fryer to 350°F. Bake in the air fryer for 10 minutes or in the oven for 25 minutes. Stir midway through cooking.
6. Top the casserole with the remaining crispy onions. Return to the air fryer for 2 minutes or oven for 5 minutes until golden and crispy.
7. Remove and serve warm. Add extra onions on top if desired for more crunch.
Make sure green beans are dry before mixing to avoid a watery casserole.
For extra flavor, add a dash of garlic powder or a few dashes of hot sauce.
Great for holidays or a quick side dish any time of the year.
