The Bang Bang Chicken Rice Bowl is a flavorful and satisfying dish featuring crispy chicken tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce, served over rice with fresh veggies. Quick to prepare and fully customizable, it’s perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Bang Bang Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • For Serving:
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots

Instructions

1. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.

2. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.

3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

4. Fry the breaded chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 4–6 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.

5. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to create the bang bang sauce.

6. Assemble bowls by layering cooked rice at the bottom.

7. Top with shredded lettuce, cucumbers, and shredded carrots.

8. Add crispy chicken pieces on top.

9. Drizzle bang bang sauce over the chicken.

10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to swap the chicken for shrimp, tofu, or another protein of choice.

Add or substitute your favorite vegetables for extra crunch and color.

You can use an air fryer for a lighter version of the crispy chicken.

To save time, use pre-cooked rice or microwave rice packs.
